Chocolate Peanut Butter Blossoms

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/2 C flour
  • 1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 C white sugar
  • peppermint & cherry chocolate kisses

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees/parchment paper on 2 cookie sheets

Step 2

Beat shortening and peanut butter on med to high speed for 30 sec. Add brn sugar, baking powder and baking soda. Beat to combine. Add egg, milk & vanilla. Beat to combine. Add flour and cocoa powder and mix by hand. 1 inch balls then roll in white sugar. Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 10 t0 12 min. Immediately place kiss in center of cookie.
